Short e words

Level 1
Read CVC words with e in the middle, Spell a picture name from its letters

In hen, the letters are h, e, n. The middle letter is e, which makes the short sound /e/ as in egg.

Read /h/ /e/ /n/ and join the sounds: hen. Then find or spell the picture name.

Spelling a word means writing its letters in order, from the first sound to the last.
