The IB in Pakistan
A small number of schools in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad offer the International Baccalaureate. IB students study six subjects at Higher and Standard Level alongside Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS, and internal assessments make up a significant part of the final grade.
Because few tutors know the IB well, online tuition is especially useful: your child can work with an IB-experienced tutor anywhere. Ask tutors which subjects and levels (HL or SL) they have taught, and whether they can guide internal assessments within the IB's academic honesty rules.
Frequently asked questions
Can a tutor help with IB internal assessments and the Extended Essay?
A tutor can teach the skills and give general feedback, but the work must be the student's own under IB rules. Choose a tutor who understands those rules.
